I am an artist and a homeschooling mom living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with my husband, daughter, and our two dogs. My background includes a Master of Fine Arts degree from East Carolina University, over 15 years experience in print media advertising and design, and university teaching in art and design.

After several years of creating and exhibiting paintings I returned to drawing as my chosen media. I found that putting pencil to paper is a primary form of expression that offers endless possibilities. After three years of extensively practicing drawing I have now returned to painting with a project to create 100 small paintings in oil. I enjoy creating art that finds the sacred in the ordinary, that celebrates the commonplace.
